Following incidences of fire in Isiolo, the county is now set to acquire ambulances and fire fighting engines to assist in emergency cases. Isiolo governor Godana Doyo says it is unfortunate that the county has lost lives and property due to emergency’s that could have been averted if the area had adequate disaster management equipment. The governor who was presiding over the distribution of relief food and blankets to victims of a fire tragedy that left 27 families homeless at soko mjinga estate two weeks ago, added he will also ensure that the road network has been improved for easy access across the county.
