Somalia calls for humanitarian assistance for displaced persons by floods and inter clan fighting

The African union mission in Somalia is calling for humanitarian assistance for an estimated 10,000 people displaced by floods and inter clan fighting in Somalia’s Jowhar town. Amisom troops are currently hosting internally displaced persons at their base in Johwar. The town has been marooned after heavy rains and floods that have destroyed the link road between the town and Mogadishu
