The Meru county government has given an ultimatum to all land grabbers occupying public land to surrender or face dire consequences. Governor Peter Munya says most of the public land reserved for social amenities has been grabbed and he is now giving the grabbers a grace period to return the land after which legal means will be used to reclaim the land.
