11th December, 2013

Naivasha town largest mall set to be built at a cost of three billion shillings Naivasha town is set to have its largest mall following a ground breaking ceremony of the project by Nakuru governor kinuthia Mbugua. The mall, dubbed buffalo, will be built at a cost of three billion shillings and is expected to be complete within 12 months. A director of the buffalo mall was to build the complex in three phases, however due to demand this has been reduced to only two phases. According to the Nakuru governor, the idea of the mall was timely for the region as it would not only offer shopping experience to locals but employment opportunities. The mall will sit on an 18 acre parcel of land donated by the influential Delamere family. It will feature among others a supermarket, restaurant as well as office blocks. Mortgage lender housing finance is one of the project financiers putting in 4.58 million dollars.
