The Malindi high court has dismissed the petition challenging the election of Lamu senator Abu Chiaba. While dismissing the election petition filed by Hassan Alberty, Malindi high court judge Cecilia Githua said the senator was elected in a free and fair election. Justice Githua also ordered the petitioner Hassan Alberty to pay costs of the petition amounting to Sh 4 milion.
