Cheserem tells governors to source for funds

The commission on revenue allocation,has termed the 210 billion shillings disbursed to counties by the national government as insufficient to spur rapid development.Speaking in Iten town when he paid a courtesy call on Elgeyo Marakwet governor Alex Tolgos, boss Micah Cheserem said that the commission had expressed their concern to the national treasury and urged them to consider increasing the funds.He asked governors to seek extra funding from donors to help bridge the financial gap in their counties.
