25th June, 2013
Chief justice Willy Mutunga is planning to leave the country tomorrow for Dakar Senegal. Where he expects to attend a meeting with the United States president Barack Obama. The CJ will be among 11 other chief justices from Africa who have been invited by their respective us ambassadors. The meeting will focus on the role of the judiciary in democratization. Us president Obama is set to visit various African countries but will however skip kenya, a move that has been seen a diplomatic strategy.
