It is a sign of relief to farmers from Makueni County as the county embarks on coming up with the County Energy Plan, as stated in 2010 constitution.

According to Makueni County governor, Mutula Kilonzo Junior, the current drought half of it, is due to the cost of production: storage of food and postharvest losses. “If we are going to be food secure, we need a full component of energy plan and arrest postharvest losses as well as industries”, expounds Mutula.
