Fury as MPs probe PPEs worth billions rotting in KEMSA offices due to lack of cabinet approval

The cabinet is yet to approve the sale of personal protective equipment at KEMSA despite experts warning of a deadlier variant in the 4th wave of Covid 19 in Kenya. ministry of health permanent secretary Susan Mochache while appearing before the national assembly committee on public investments revealed that a dead stock of PPEs worth more than 6.2 billion shillings is still being held at KEMSA stores awaiting the cabinet approval.
