More than 4 million Kenyans in 23 counties are facing starvation due to the prolonged drought in the horn of Africa. Kajiado county is among the most affected counties. The situation is so dire that thousands of livestock have died and children are now missing school. Residents have been surviving on relief food from non-governmental organizations and well-wishers.
