President Uhuru holds major fightback to revive stalled BBI as he defends role to initiate process

President Uhuru Kenyatta has today defended himself against claims of disobeying the constitution, following his direct involvement in the building bridges initiative which was declared unconstitutional by the courts. The president stages his defense on the second day hearing of appeals seeking to revive the building bridges initiative before the supreme court. But as our senior political affairs reporter Murimi Mwangi explains, Kenyatta fought hard to get himself off the hook, as key parties in the appeal, sought to demonstrate he is personal culpability over the BBI mess.
