Meanwhile drama ensued today in Kitale town after deputy president William Ruto allies were chased away by police out of two meeting venues they had booked in the area. The MPs Rigathi Gachagua, Kimani Ngunjiri, Alice Wahome, and Jayne Kihara had planned to hold two meetings at Ndura nature park and another at Bridgestone hotel. The leaders however found the two areas barricaded by police and were not allowed to continue with their planned meeting. Speaking outside the hotel flanked with their followers, the leaders said they were only meeting their supporters to give a message of peace in the run-up to the elections scheduled for August 9th this year.
