Police officers were forced to hurl teargas canisters at crowds to disperse rowdy ODM and UDA youth who were throwing stones and engaging each other in battles during deputy president William Ruto's political rally at Jacaranda grounds, Nairobi. Speaking later, Ruto condemned the chaos and trained his guns on ODM leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of promoting politics of violence, adding that all Kenyans had a right to visit any part of the country to campaign. And as KNT’s Emmanuel Too now reports, leaders, present urged Kenyans to shun politics of violence especially now that country is gearing towards the august general election.
