Kabero village in mt Elgon has not witnessed men since 2008. The village is run by widows. Mt Elgon widows allege their husbands were tortured, killed and some disappeared without a trace during operation okoa Maisha to flush out the dreaded Sabaot land defense force in 2008 by the military. The widows are seeking justice. And as willy Lusige reports, the women of Kabero just want to rebuild their lives.
