The peace and tranquility in Mtito Andei in Makueni county was disrupted following protests staged by residents over closure of good hope children home and rehabilitation centre. The centre that gives hope to tens            of orphans and needy children was closed down on grounds of the covid?19 pandemic. Local residents are however blaming ownership wrangles for the row. The irate residents stormed the centre before police officers from Mtito Andei police station led by area OCS calmed them with the promise to bring the warring sides on round table to resolve the problem.
