A section of religious leaders is opposed to the reproductive health bill that is currently before the senate. According to the clergy, some sections of the bill are offensive and cited a provision that allows termination of pregnancy in the event of emergency treatment. The religious leaders urged the senate as well as the national assembly to reject the bill on the grounds that it will erode our culture and heritage.
