It was early Christmas celebrations for inmates at Lang’ata Women Prisons, when women drawn from various Presbyterian churches, under the umbrella body of Women’s guild, visited the correctional facility and showered gifts to the inmates.
Former Nakuru woman representative, Mary Mbugua, who led the delegation, highlighted the need for the judiciary and the government to consider pardoning inmates who have been behind bars for long and have transformed to allow them integrate back into the community.
She further reminded the community to be mindful of the less fortunate during this festive season.
