Round two of the search for the country’s next chief justice begins tomorrow. Seven candidates who were not shortlisted for the position but who got a second chance to try their luck after a high court ruling will now appears before the judicial service commission. Andrew Kongani will be the first of these to be grilled by the JSC tomorrow. Controversial law professor Makau Mutua and supreme court judge Justice Jackton Ojwang’s interviews are slated for the 12th and 14th of this month.
