Cabinet Secretary expected to make plans to save Uchumi supermarket

The cabinet is this week expected to make a decision in the plans to revive Uchumi supermarkets. Industrialization cabinet secretary Adan Mohammed will first give a brief on the ongoing investigations against those believed to have misappropriated funds in the chain of supermarkets. According to the president’s spokesman Manoah Esipisu, those found culpable will soon be arrested and prosecuted. The government plans to inject 1.2 billion shillings to revive Uchumi.
