The 14th UNCTAD Conference commences in Nairobi

The 14th session of the United Nations conference on trade and development - UNCTAD kicked off in Nairobi this evening with calls to member countries to ensure decisions taken are implemented. More than 10,000 foreign and local delegates are attending the conference which will focus on global trade and economic development issues. The six day conference was opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta and may lead to major traffic disruption as several roads in the city are closed to traffic.
