Deputy President William Ruto has told off the opposition over its criticism of state appointments. Ruto accused opposition leaders of analyzing recent appointments from what he called a tribal angle arguing government appointments are based on merit and competence of the appointees. The coalition for reforms and democracy – cord – has hit out at the government over the appointments of parastatal heads terming them unconstitutional.
