One of the lionesses that strayed out of Nairobi National Park spotted in Lang'ata Barracks

20th February, 2016

The Kenya wildlife service has spotted one lioness in the hunt for the missing lions that began on Thursday. The lioness was spotted last evening during an aerial and ground search which lasted through the night around Lang’ata Barracks. The officers also located a gap in the park fence through which they suspect the lions sneaked. The lioness, however, slipped through the gap back into the park. With the other lions remaining elusive, the officers are now laying traps, using several cages and live goats, hoping the stray lions will be lured. Earlier, attempts to attract the lions using call back machines only attracted warthogs.
