With the disbursement of lease certificates in Mombasa, President Uhuru Kenyatta may have scored a political goal as the beneficiaries are reported to swear their allegiance to the Jubilee government. This comes only a day after the president issued the certificates to squatters of the Waitiki farm settlement. The beneficiaries now hold a 99 year lease on the land.
