The Pokot community hold special prayers for peace and forgiveness
26th December, 2015
As Kenyans continue to mark the festive season, one community has chosen to do this in a rather special and phenomenal way. Led by cultural elders and political leaders, the Pokot community held special prayers at the community’s shrine on the border of Kenya and Uganda. So special are this kind of prayers, that they were last held by the community more than a century ago. They are prayers of forgiveness, peace and blessings for both the Pokots and the neighboring communities.
