Garissa chiefs and their assistants running away from duty stations because of insecurity
12th December, 2015
And up north in Garissa county the County Commissioner James Kianda has sounded a stern warning to local chiefs and their assistants whom he said have abandoned their duty posts and are instead operating from Garissa town, because of insecurity. The commissioner said that the administrators risk losing their jobs and called on members of the public to report such insubordination to him. The local chiefs are said to be camped out in garissa town under the guise of following up on their salaries.
