Former President Daniel arap Moi condemns rise in cases of drug abuse by school going children

11th October, 2015

Former President Daniel arap Moi has condemned the rise in cases of drug abuse and alcohol consumption by school going children. The former head of state cited last week's incident where over 500 children were arrested in an orgy of drugs, alcohol and sex at a basement club in Eldoret. He also spoke of another incident where 45 high school students were arrested for smoking bhang, drinking and having sex in a bus in Nyeri two months ago. Moi was speaking at a worship service at AIC Kabarak community chapel in Nakuru county. 237 national examinations candidates from neighbouring churches, primary and high schools were baptised.
