Just a day after Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet issued an alert over impending terror attacks; Alshabaab militiamen attempted to ambush a KDF camp in Baure in Lamu County. Eleven of them were neutralized while two kdf soldiers died in the crossfire. This comes as residents of Lamu marked one year since the Mpeketoni attack that left over sixty people dead.
