A revenge mission by a group of raiders on a village in Isiolo county turned against the attackers when they met with Turkana reservists. The death toll from the morning clash between the Samburus and Turkanas is now estimated at 11. Police managed to take control of the area by mid-morning, but several of the raiders vanished into the Buffalo game reserve with gunshot wounds.
