The government of Ethiopia maintains that it will not abandon the construction of its massive dam that experts say could kill Kenya’s Lake Turkana. Ethiopian officials attending an energy conference in Abu Dhabi are dismissing the claims as mere politics. The dam is being built on River Omo, which is the main source of water for Lake Turkana.
