Maternal deaths on the rise in Turkana County due to lack of health centres

Not all mothers are as fortunate. Turkana County has one of the highest maternal death records in the country. According to a 2014 UNFPA report, of the 1,594 pregnancies recorded, 175 mothers died as a result of complications…60 in every 1000 infants who are born, never live to see their first birthday.
