World bank gives Kenya ksh.81 billion loan to build roads in North Eastern

The frontier counties development council chairperson, mandera governor ali roba, has lauded the 81 billion horn of africa gateway development project. The project will see the construction of the 395 kilometre isiolo – mandera road and the upgrading of the isiolo?modogashe and wajir?elwak roads. The project will also see the setting up of 740 kilometres of fibre optic cable and the construction of customs offices, at mandera and rhamu border points. The project is funded by the world bank and is the biggest to be approved for sub?saharan africa.
