Experts fault treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u for accepting to disburse NG-CDF to MPs

4th December, 2022

The disbursement of up to 44.2 billion shillings for the national government constituency development fund kitty which is set to commence on Friday next week might not even kick off according to constitutional experts. The experts say the fund remains unconstitutional as per a supreme court decision despite the issuance of an advisory by attorney general Justin Muturi to treasury CS Njuguna Ndung’u indicating that the fund is still in force. And as David Muthoka reports, the experts have termed the advisory a temporary relief to the MPs.
