A section of Members of Parliament has called on the Speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate to summon President William Ruto to appear before Parliament, following his recent claims that bribery within the Senate is compromising the integrity of the institution. The legislators argue that the Head of State must be held accountable for the remarks and provide clarity on the allegations, which they say cast doubt on the credibility of Parliament. They further insist that summoning the President would not only enhance transparency but also safeguard the dignity of the legislature and ensure that the executive remains answerable to the people through their elected representatives.
