Nairobi residents are raising alarm over a surge in violent crime in the Central Business District, where a gang known as “Devil’s Breath” has allegedly been operating with impunity for more than a month. Victims claim the gang uses a cocktail of drugs and even human waste to incapacitate and rob unsuspecting passersby. Despite numerous reports, residents accuse the police of offering little to no effective response.
