Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has intensified Kenya Kwanza’s anti-government narrative on his two‑month U.S. tour, holding town halls in Seattle, Boston, Dallas, California, and Baltimore. At a July engagement in Seattle, he appealed to the diaspora to help remove President William Ruto after one term—leading chants of “Ruto must go”—while underscoring the pivotal economic role of diaspora remittances to Kenya. He pledged legal reforms and political mobilization ahead of the 2027 election, portraying his Democracy for Citizens Party as the viable opposition voice abroad.
