The Kenyan Senate has voted to terminate the impeachment motion against Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo on the grounds of procedural irregularities: 31 senators supported terminating the proceedings, while 12 wanted the matter to proceed. The case hinged on a preliminary objection by the governor’s legal team, arguing that the Isiolo County Assembly failed to convene sittings on June 18 properly and 26 to debate and pass the motion, lacking official Hansard or video evidence. Based on this technical flaw, Speaker Amason Kingi declared the proceedings terminated forthwith, meaning Guyo remains in office
