FKF Premier League champions Tusker on Saturday evening played out to a 1-1 draw against Djiboutian champions AS Arta Solar in a Caf Champions League preliminary round first leg match played at Hassan Gouled Stadium in Djibouti.
New signing Ibrahim Joshua opened his account with Tusker by giving the visitors the lead in the quarter-hour mark before former AS Monaco winger Alain Traore leved the scores in the match which was played behind closed doors.
Tusker will now host the second leg next week on Saturday at Nyayo National Stadium hoping to proceed to the first round where they are set to play Egyptian giants Zamelek.
Tanzanian import Ibrahim Joshua opened the scoring for Tusker in the 14th minute to earn the champions a crucial away goal.
However, the breweries lead didn’t last as Traore curled in a left foot shot past Bwire in goal for Tusker to tie the game at 1-1.
