Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) are among the teams that are holding their breath in anticipation that some of their key players will be ready for action when the national volleyball play offs serve off in Mombasa tomorrow.
Several teams have been battling to handle the fitness of their key players after the conclusion of the regular national league.
And while some teams say the injries are manageable, others are waiting on late fitness tests for their players.
DCI is one of the causalities with coach Daniel Bor bemoaning right attacker Maureen Wekesa’s injury set back that has ruled her out of the three-day competition at Makande Indoor Gymnasium.
“Wekesa is down with a knee injury and she will not be ready to play at the start of the competition,” said Bor.
