Local English Premier League football fans are in for another looming hangover after the 2014/2015 season aftermath which ended last month with Chelsea winning the title.
The English Premier league commands a huge following locally with ardent fans watching almost all possible games, a fact that when the season is over most fans get emotionally depressed.
Most of these matches are like social events where fans hang around in their favourite spots on a regular basis to catch up with the discussions as they watch their teams take on each other. The absence of these games therefore bars fans from interacting and enjoying the heated arguments that come in handy whenever supremacy topics arise.
One such fan identified as Ambani confessed that life is boring without a game to catch up with during the weekends.
“I feel so bored when there’s no premier league game to watch during the weekends…I mean it’s the only time I catch up with friends and talk football,” he said.
