Moi University has temporarily suspended all academic trips, following an accident involving the institution’s bus on Wednesday morning.
The University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Isaac Kosgey, in a circular, said that trips would resume after the Easter holidays.
Students from the Arts and Social Sciences Department were headed for an academic trip, when their bus was involved in an accident at Kimende area on the Nakuru- Nairobi Highway.
The Standard confirmed there were no casualties from the dawn accident.
“I am relieved to inform you that there were no casualties or fatalities, and all students are safe. A bus has been dispatched to bring them back to Main Campus,” said Kosgey.
The incident comes a week after a Kenyatta University bus was involved in a fatal road crash, killing 11 students and leaving several others injured.
