A woman who operated several quarries in Naivasha was killed by gangsters who raided her home on Sunday night.
The thugs cracked her skull and fractured one of her legs using a hammer during the attack.
Area MCA Simon Wanyoike Wanango said the woman had earlier in the day paid her workers before attending a local women group meeting.
He said that the gangsters killed her before making away with some cash that she had received from the women’s meeting.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman is alleged to have committed suicide at Kongoni centre in Naivasha after falling out with her boyfriend.
The body of the woman was found hanging from a tree near the trading centre.
Ann Macharia said the woman had for some time threatened to take her life as she was not ready to share the man with another person.
“We talked to her and she reassured us that she would not commit suicide but we were shocked on learning that she had taken her life using a rope,” she said.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed both cases, noting the bodies were taken to the Naivasha Sub-county Hospital mortuary.
