Governor Wavinya sends warning to infrastructure vandals

Machakos governor Wavinya Ndeti has vowed to act tough on people vandalizing water infrastructures in the County.
Speaking during an inspection tour of County projects, Ms. Ndeti said that vandals were frustrating efforts by the county government to provide water to the residents.
“Legal action will be taken against people who will be caught destroying or stealing water infrastructures.” She said.
She reiterated that she was committed to serving the people of Machakos wholeheartedly by prioritizing their wellbeing.
“At the end of the day people will want to know what I have done for my people. It is time to work. Let us take care of our projects.” She said.

Ms. Ndeti also accused some local politicians of mobilizing goons to destroy projects established by the county government.
“Time for politicking is long gone. Masterminds of these malicious people destroying county infrastructures are going to be investigated and brought to book.” She said.
