List: Governors-elect who will be sworn in on August 25
Twenty-six (26) governors-elect are lined up for swearing-in on Thursday, August 25.
This is after they secured victory in the August 9, 2022 General Election and their names were gazetted as per an August 16 Gazette Notice.
They new Governors include Coast region's first female governor Fatuma Achani of Kwale County.
Of the 26, only one is an Independent candidate - Andrew Mwadime of Taita Taveta County. 11 are from UDA, eight from ODM, three from Wiper, two from UDM and one from Jubilee Party.
