Mauritius, the Indian Ocean Island off the East African Coast will host the 2019 African Airlines Association (AFRAA) Annual General Assembly (AGA) and summit in its 51st edition.
AFRAA Secretary General Mr Abdérahmane Berthé announced that the summit initially scheduled to take place in Yaounde, Cameroun after last year’s successful 50th edition in Rabat, Morocco will be held at InterContinental Mauritius Resort, Balaclava Fort from November 10 -12.
Mr Berthé expressed AFRAA’s gratitude to Air Mauritius that alongside the host Government stepped in after the change from Yaoundé became evident.
”We salute their commitment to the development of African aviation industry only months after hosting the 8th Aviation Stakeholders Convention in May that brought together more than 300 delegates from Africa and across the globe to stimulate dialogue, build sustainable networks and create more competitive environment,” remarked Mr Berthé in a communique released from the association’s headquarters in Nairobi.
