The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has picked Frida Mokaya Boyani as the new Chief Registrar of the Judiciary.
Mokaya replaces Anne Atieno Amadi, whose term ended on January 12, 2024.
Following Amadi's exit, JSC began the recruitment process, where 43 applicants showed interest in the job, but only seven were shortlisted.
On Monday, March 19, a JSC panel interviewed the shortlisted candidates before settling on Mokaya hours later.
The announcement was made by Chief Justice Martha Koome, via a communique on Tuesday morning.
