A pregnant stripper has been charged with murder after her two-month-old son apparently starved to death.
The exotic dancer Brittany Marie Wiest, 21, from Tennessee, was arrested for murder nearly 10 months after her son, Anakin Leroy-Michael Wiest, died.
Her lover at the time of the death, Michael Withers, called 911 after he and Wiest woke to find the baby unresponsive in her home in the town of Smyrna on April 8, 2014. Mr Withers is not the boy's father.
By the time police arrived, the emaciated boy was dead, they said. Anakin had weighed just under six pounds at birth, police said, but at 59 days, the lad was still a mere five pounds.

"(Wiest) honestly had no clue what had occurred, why the baby had passed away," Detective Rick Hall told WKRN.
An autopsy, conducted months later, determined Anakin died of starvation and dehydration and his death was ruled a homicide, according to The Tennessean.
Wiest is now 24 weeks pregnant with her third child, authorities said.
Steve Anderson, the unborn girl's father, said he began dating Wiest in July and was surprised to learn what happened to Anakin.
"Up until yesterday, Brittany and I both thought the child died of SIDS," he told WSMV.
"I wasn't in the picture back then. My main priority is the welfare of my child and my main goal is getting custody of my baby girl."
Anakin had a different father, as does Wiest's oldest child, a two-year-old girl who is in state custody.
It is claimed she has previously been investigated in connection to the possible neglect of the girl by the Department of Children's Services, authorities said.
The um works at the Nashville strip club Brass Stables Jockey Club, according to Facebook. Ex-beau Withers is not facing charges, although the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Wiest has been charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect and murder. She is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $100,000 bond. Her next court hearing is scheduled for February 17.
