15,000 famers get new potato seeds

Meru County Government has launched an initiative seeking to empower 15,000 potato farmers to shift from subsistence to commercial farming by using good seeds for planting.
Deputy Governor Raphael Muriungi said the county, in partnership with Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centre, will help farmers pursue value addition, seed production and marketing of their harvest. -Phares Mutembei
