Police in Kericho County have launched investigations into an incident where a female Form Three student was stabbed to death on Wednesday, April 4 morning.
Police reports indicate that the 17-year-old student of Keben Secondary School was stabbed by a classmate, who she was in an intimate relationship with.
Belgut Sub-County Police Commander Ezekiel Kuche said preliminary investigations had revealed that the suspect confronted his girlfriend before fatally stabbing her on the left side of her chest using a knife.
The incident occurred at around 7 am in one of the classrooms of the said institution, a day after students reported back to class after the five-day holiday.
"The school being a day school, the suspect managed to conceal and sneak into the school compound with a knife which he used to stab the victim," said Kuche.
