Communications Authority of Kenya has opened a regional office in Central Kenya that is expected to serve 13 counties.
Authority Director General Francis Wangusi said this would help to improve the efficiency of ICT providers across the country.
“We believe that setting up this office will also monitor the quality of services that ICT consumers experience,” he said.
The authority will facilitate the launch of broadband internet in 37 secondary schools and internet connection in 78 sub-locations.
“Our move will make the ease of doing business within counties an attractive incentive for other investors to follow suit,” he explained.
