Visitors were treated to the spectacular sight of 63 tiny sea turtle hatchlings attempting their first steps at the scenic Serena Beach Hotel and Spa beach frontage.
The scene drew admiration and cheers from hundreds of local and international tourists who came out to watch the rare sighting on Saturday.
The hatchlings later crawled into the clear waters less than 300 metres off the high water mark. ''This is spectacular.
I must confess it is my first time to see this live. I am used to watching this on television documentaries,'' Josyline Kaburi, a local tourist, said.
